is a learning design consultant and author who works throughout the UK and abroad. He works with teachers and learners to help make education more effective and enjoyable. His Thinking Classroom concept and associated books and website have inspired educators to enrich their teaching without compromising their existing good practice. Mike regularly teaches learners of all ages (from Year R to Year 13) and current projects include bespoke conference design and an international writing project with Howard Gardner.


is the Deputy Head at Challenge College with responsibility for Teaching and Learning. She has been involved with Critical Skills and Challenge College since the school began and regularly takes part in leading our training courses.

is a Senior Strategic Leader for Teaching and Learning at Challenge College with particular responsibility for making sure the Critical Skills programme reaches its potential in school. He also teaches Science across the secondary age range and regularly leads teacher training within Bradford and further afield.
